Does Everyone Love Caller ID

I have VOIP at home now. When someone calls my house and the number is unknown I don't answer and can block the number. AND, I even like people. I guess we want to be bothered on our own terms.

But sometimes people are using another nubmer to call you and some voip don't show their numbers when making calls so you might be missing some important calls there.
By the way, I also jumped the voip bandwagon (Onesuite SuiteAdvantage) last year and voip is reliable enough that I don't missed my landline.

I am not too worried about missing calls. There is always cell, text or email. :0)

I use skype and I love it. Its in my computer so when I am sitting at my pc posting to discussions I dont have to get up to answer my phone I get a tiny little pop up in the center of my screen that says the number that is calling. It not give the name of the caller unless they are in my contacts but once they call I add them and block them accordingly. I have to say its wonderful. And to be honest it works just like a real land line phone for half the price.

I purchased mine through our local phone company/ISP. The VOIP cost half the price here as well. We had a Cisco system at a company where I had worked before. It was able to route calls and the caller info to the correct account rep's workstation - Cool.
