When a person as an year older actually he gets another year closer to death. Humans do not celebrate when someone dies, but they do celebrate when someone gets closer to his death, i.e. on his birthday. Isn't this ironic. Should a person actually celebrate his birthday?

I celebrate mine and acknowledge the opportunities the previous year brought to me and look forward to the possibility of new ones in the coming year.

Especially if you under 21 Birthday's would be something to celebrate. 16-Can Drive 18-Legal Adult 21-Legal Drinking age but I don't know what else would be celebrated.

We celebrate birthdays eventhough it means that we are getting older. We should be thankful for we have given another year to live. We should be thankful for we have reached another year of being with our loveones. Isnt that enough reason to celebrate birthdays?
