Hi Zelmarq! Ummm, pork lechon! Very rare that I do have it, only during festivities and if I do, I will only get a small portion! For the benefit of our foreign friends here, Lechon is the Spanish word for suckling pig. In the Philippines, it connotes a whole roasted pig. It is usually served with a liver-based sauce. However, in some cases, it may be served Chinese style with steamed buns and a sweet plum sauce...But we do love it especially when the leftovers of the lechon are recycled into another delectable dish which is lechon paksiw. Yummy! That was what we have eaten for lunch yesterday given or sent to us by my husband's dear aunt who happens to be our neighbor. God bless her! Now, we are back to vegetables and fish! haha...
Take care and have a nice day!

Surely we cant find lechon.hehehehe. Well, you'll have to take the risk and explore food in the rain. Theres palabok in jollibee, if you dont like going out, you can always request for delivery.
Have a nice day and thank you for sharin!

oh my goodness, I just looked up what lechon is and find that it is a succulant roasted pig! I thought it was a little milk candy... haha, I was WAY off. I see why it is difficult to obtain lechon in rainy weather!
do the pigs get roasted in the ground?

I hate it when I get a craving and I cannot go get what I want. I will have to ask you though, what is lechon? I am interested in knowing more. If I wanted something badly enough, I would probably go out and get it, even in the rain.

That is so sad... i know how it is to crave for a particular food and not be able to immediately eat that... not at all painful... but not satisfying... seems like no other food will suffice...
I hope you get your lechon... i also love this food... expecially the skin... very crunchy and very yummy...

You crave for Lechon?...ha ha ha, meaning you are in loneliness. One Zamboangan told me if one person feeling that way, high level of loneliness in oneself. He said, not me said...LOL!!!
Yeah...after being part of Zamboangan nowadays, I knew what is Lechón (Tagalog: Litson and Cebuano: Inasal) is the Spanish word for suckling pig. In the Philippines, it connotes a whole roasted pig, lechón baboy. Chicken and beef are also popular. The process of lechón involves the whole pig/piglet, chicken, or cattle/calf being slowly roasted over charcoal.
