Beware online sellers do not ship the item if you do not receive any payment
WARNING!
I've got a news from my friend in Omaha who is working in PayPal. They are receiving calls from PayPal members who sell items in eBay and craigslist. They are receiving emails that says they that, "The buyer has been paid the item already and deducted the amount to their PayPal account so please send us the tracking information."
It will show in the eBay and craigslist that it is paid and the payment processed in PayPal. However, the email says, "Dear PayPal member" or "Dear PayPal User" or "Dear (username in eBay or craigslist), or "Dear (the email address)" My friends says this kind of emails is a spoof email. PayPal will not asked the seller to put the tracking information in the email that he/she received but the tracking information should be put in the details of the transaction where it shows the payment with the status, "On hold-ship now." The payment will be released once the seller received a positive feedback immediately, or the item has been delivered in 3 days (so don't forget to put the tracking information), or if there's no dispute in the transaction in 21 days.
Those hackers would like to get items for free. There are sellers have been scammed by the spoof emails like this specially if it says in the email that the buyer is located outside of USA or Nigeria.
