I get occasionla manicures, but not acrylics. or anything fancier than a french manicure. I would mcuh rather spend the money and time on pedicures, massages and facials! Thanks for sharing! Be Well,

Yes i get mine done but i have my own nails i just have the over lay put on them.Helps to keep me from breaking them.

I have gotten my nails done before at the salon but they are costly so they are a rare treat for me unless I do them myself. She likes to have nice nails but it must be costly to have it done twice a month. Here in Kentucky around where I live it is $48 to have nails done and that only includes normal acrylics and polish not the extras.

wow $48 is a lot. I could get a french pedicure and Manicure for that here!! acrylics cost about 25 here, and 15 or so for fills. I usally just got for pedicures, and an occasional manicure. I am not much for the fake nails. Thanks for your reply!

I have an acrylic overlay on my own nails to protect them from breaking. Also, nail polish adheres better to acrylic than to one's own natural nails, so having the overlay extends the life of my manicure. I have my nails done about every two weeks. This is my one indulgence, and I relish the time by myself, just relaxing and doing something nice for myself.

hi!
I have my nails done regularly but not on a salon. My mother-in-law knows how to do it, so I just let her do my nails. a plain or one color is ok with me.
I seldom go to salon for my nails, except when I'm having a foot spa.

I mostly do my own nails too, I wish I had someone close to do them for me. That would be nice too. I have a home foot spa, but it isnt the same as the one at the salon with the massage chair! That is a real treat for me! Thanks for your reply, Be well,

Oh a pedicure is such a treat, I try and go every couple months for at least that. they have a nice massage chair here at the place I go so it is like a mini massage too! Thanks for your reply. be well,

The only times that I have had my nails done at a nail salon is when my sister paid for me to have it done. It was enjoyable and relaxing but I can't see the sense of paying someone to do my nails. She has it done on a regular basis and so does my other sister.

I use to get them done every 2 weeks, but with not having $$ all the time for it, i learned to do it myself, and I can get the stuff alot cheaper for myself and I would rather do it that way. and it gives me some time to be alone and have some quiet time away from the kids while they sleep. so doing my own nails at home is easier for me and cheaper. I do find some good deals and it helps.
