I have led a very unusual and very full life for someone who is about be 22 in 2 months. I'm not saying my life is, or was, perfect. I've just experienced many things, some good and unique, and because I am an only child I have opportunties most do not. Now as an adult, as for the almost four years I have been an adult, I try to be in control of myself and my life. I can basically do a lot of things, older or people in a relationship can not do. One thing, I find funny is I work hard for things and in school, and lazy people are always jealous when I do well. lol So, a few people have become jealous me. Do find people are jealous of you? Why or why do you think so?

well i should say that a lot of people have a lot of reasons to be jealous of me and i know they are... many are from a long time.... but i remember the time when i was around 15..... there were two of dad's friends wives who were jealous of me for reasons i still havent been able to figure out though one's jealousy has passed off by age i guess(chuckling!!)......... the other one i havent heard of her at all since a few years but she is a old hag now.... oops.... i should mind my language :P but i havent ever been jealous of anyone myself except for the time when i was jealous of my best friend cos she had dogs and i dint and then i got mine a few years later...... but other than reasons like these i was never jealous of anyone...... so when you are hard working and do and get everything that you want all by your self the other people tend to get jealous of you!!

I don't think people are too jealous of me...I'm a pretty low-key person who doesn't draw attention to himself. Perhaps during my school days it was a little different...partly because I was more arrogant then and also partly because I really was quite successful academically (hey, wait a minute...I still sound arrogant!). I'd rather live the kind of life I want and still fly under the radar so I don't incur jealousy. I've not quite got the perfect life yet, but at least I've got the flying under the radar bit down!

I am an only child as well. As an only child you mature faster. But, on the other hand we tend to be more vonerable. For instance learning how to talk back is not easy. When you grow up with brothers and sisters you learn how to stick up for yourself. I myself wish I had not been an only child. Though it also has advantages. People get jealous either way,(only child or not) when you are better or achieve more than another. That is everywhere. In all country's. I guess you can call it human. Why? Because the person that is jealous, wants to have what you have. And sometimes it feels unfair to not have what the other has. It is human nature. I am not saying it is good to be jealous, don't get me wrong. But it happens. I know a lot of people that are jealous of me, because they think I have it all made. I have everything together. But, what they don't now is that I don't tell them everything. Let them think I have it all together. When they are not jealous, that would mean they are my friends, then I could tell them more. That's the way I think. Take care.

My son is an only child and he like you probably gets a lot of support and love from home, and also does get more boys toys gamestation's ipod, ect you know what I mean than his mates but he is level headed and everybody seems to like him the neighbours ect as well as his mates, his teachers adore him as he is an Agrade student. He just takes it all in his stride and enjoys life sometimes he asks for money to go to town with his mates,he is able to do A-levels in september or to start them I mean and will go to university,he is very single minded about his school work nothing will make him have a day off school,he goes in even if he is ill,one time they rung up and said why did you send him he is so ill.The night before I cancelled the alarm and thought he is going nowhere tomorrow,it was nine thirty when they rang and I was still in bed,I told them he was still in bed ,he had only got him self up and taken himself in to school.I explained it to the school and they put him on the next bus home,I could have strangled him.He realises with out descent exam results he will not get the job he wants accountancy.Maths and Science are his favourites subjects followed by IT and business amongst others they are his A Levels he is going to take.I say to you what I say to my son go for it they may think they are clever now mucking about and having fun,but you will have the last laugh with your good job and nice lifestyle you stick with it and blow the rest ,they won't be paying your mortgage will they.
