Would you cross a red light at 2 am with absolutely no cars in sight? or wait for it to turn green?

Around here I wait for them to turn green, cause the cops like to hide out, and wait for stuff like that. But if i were out in some small town, then yeah if no one is around there's no point in waiting. traffic lights are for traffic. if there isn't any then just go.
