Are we demanding too much of the stars?

Quite often we see on media incidents about stars, who have conducted something special, say, in an traffic accident, after drinking, etc. (I do not mean the really evil things they do, such as crime or drug.) Why the media give so much attention to the byside aspects of the stars. If ordinary people did it, they will not appear on the paper. Stars are also human beings. Most readers are more interested on their professional activities, not the incidents. I am fed up with this kind of news. We shouldn't demand too much of the stars.

I don't really think so. Stars are stars because they want media coverage. They know what to expect when they signed up for the job. I don't really get the importance celebrity gossip, but I suppose one reason that we get news of their mishaps, is because stars are role models to our children and future generations that we put more pressure on them. So in order to prevent bad influences, we try to shame them publically... perhaps?
