My cell phone seemed to go weird yesterday. It sent SMSes at RANDOM. And the details here! I had refilled it with a pack of 100 Free SMS valid for a week. Plus I had talktime. I can back home after visiting a local temple. The Cell Phone was, obviously, with me. I preferred to go for an afternoon snap! And I heard it ringing... I responded to the call, and heard one of my senior office colleague was murmuring with a confused voice. "Did you send SMS"... He stopped, and said, "Not one.. but many!". I was confused. I heard someone from behind telling minimum 14 - 15 messages over the last half an hour!". I was also confused! Checked my sent item folder. There were indeed bunch of undelivered text messages. The message was very innocent one I tried to send to my elder brother's wife. It was a 'Flower Show'! And that message has been delivered to four to five numbers like bullets from SLR!!! I heard him saying, "My inbox is flooded with SMSes, I'm tired of deleting them. In fact, the more I delete - the more arrives. Impossible." I begged my apology. Nothing can be done. I told. "There are 10+ SMSes waiting in my sent item folder for you Sir"! Oh! This was a terrific experience. Did you have any such experience?

I've heard of a few cases where hackers can access your cell phone and use it to call people or send messages...Perhpaps this is something like that? Either that or a very weird virus in your phone.

I do not really know why did it all happen. But there's no problem right now. Hopefully, it will not re-appear.

hello In deed this is a very terrific experience. Just imagine what would have happened if something vulgar wold have been sent to your boss. I guess its some virus that has affected your mobile. Are you using symbian phone as these phones have more chance to get infected by virus. The virus infection can occur by data transfer either via a computer or any other bluetooth device. Also it can occur if you use an GPRS enabled phone. In any case u now need to format your phone & memory card to stop the message nuisance. I guess that would solve the problem. have a nice time at mylot.

Yeah. That would have been FATAL. I've called on a local guy, who is an expert. He is looking into it.
