I enjoy reading romances that where written some centuries ago because i want to try and see how these people used to share feelings with their loved ones. When i read this great novel by Victor Hugho, i serouisly get answers to the above. Not many people can love as Jean does, even to a poor child who is not your own. If parents could draw lessons from this, i believe the world would have been a better place to live in.
Look at the love between cossette and Luois. how many people can love as they did. I know one would say that these ar ejust characters in a novel, an imagination created by the author, but believe me the people of the 19th century know how to love and enjoyed romance more than the we the people of this century. Do you agree?

I love Les Miserables. I fell in love with it at the very first chapter. Actually my favorite character in the book is Marius. He is such a very strong character, and very alive. That was the first time I read French literature and I really want to read another one. Hopefully the publisher will decide to translate another.
