Dream Goal In Life

I have several goals that I could certainly call my Dream Goals. Capping them all is one thing: My still unfulfilled desire to become [B]what I consider[/B]as being a good Engineer. I can feel satisfied to have been a good engineer only if I make a [B]Fundamental, New, and Original[/B]contribution to Good Engineering. Since that is not possible being however great a functionary in a Commercial Organization I have to chase this goal only after I leave that organization. You might why not join a Research Position. That doesn't satisfy me as I will be unhappy if my work does not see the light of the day. In short if one goes by my aspirations one should be either an Einstein or an Edison.

My goals have become unachievable so I have changed them. I wanted to have a happy family, to travel and to be good at playing the guitar. Well, my husband divorced me for another, I can't afford to travel and never will and I don't play guitar very well. My new goals are to enjoy playing my guitar, meet people from different countries whether online or in real life, be happy with myself, be a strong support for my two sons and to be of use in this world. So far, I've done very well with these goals which are more realistic than my old ones.
