I lost my cell phone today, in Shanghai city. It's the fifth one, meaning that I have lost 5 cell phone in the past 4 years, 3 in univercity days and 2 after graduated. I am really a little disapointed at myself. Everytime I said that it's a lesson for me and then I keep on losing my phones.
I thought that a common cell phone is so cheap and no thief would be interested in stealing one. Fact has proved I am wrong! Another lesson for me! I guess it's not a bad lesson, huh?
So has such kinda thing happened to you, my friends? I hope you are all lucky and never encounter such things, heehee. Share your experience! How many cell phones have you used and why are you changing to new ones?

I have never had a cell phone. I know I'm probably in the minority! My sister has and does, as do both of my parents. I know my dad has gone through quite a few. He used to lose them, but I don't think he has lost his in a while. Good thing to because he gets a lot of calls he can't afford to miss.

Hey Ambie! Just got my first one this year. It's my 14 year old son's old one as he has upgraded this year. It's just a tracfone. I don't have a contract just a card. It can cost me only $20 for three months at the least. That's decent. Otherwise, I'd be just like you. Mine's only for emergencies or checking up on my kids. I'm actually always surprised by how many people want to be located by their work on their off hours. No thanks.hehe

I'm fortunate. I've never lost my cell phone. And I'm rather confused. You need to take extra precaution. Because more than cheap handsets, one day, you'll start to value those contact lists more.

If i am not mistaken, i think i already used 29 cellphones since College. Because I use to make buy and sell cellphones so tat i will have an extra money. in addition, collecting cellphones is one of my hobbies 'til now. i usually prefer using Nokia and Sony Ericsson cellphones. But now, I only have 5 cellphones because i sold 1 of my cellphones..

I am sorry to hear that. I have several cellphones before but fortunately I have never lost them or being stolen. I am careful. However, my mom and my husband's cellphones were stolen in the past. In fact lately I am thinking to buy a new cellphone. If its price will drop a little, then I will make up my decision.
I love China

I have had 3 cellphones so far. The first one was a Siemens and I liked it but I decided to get a new one (Nokia) later when I started to have problems with the Siemens one.
But there was a problem with the new Nokia phone(after a year or 2 of using it) that wouldn't let me receive or make calls.
Anyway, I got a new Nokia phone and I like it so far. At last it doesn't has those tiny problems that my first (Siemens) phone had.
I know that there are better phones out there but I am just fine with this one so I will stick to it until it breaks. Or until I get the feeling that I should change my phone. :)

Well i have used three to four cell phones and thanx God none of them got lost.becuse i am considered to be extre careful while taking care of my belongings and i gues people are right.
The first one nokia 3510i was an old set from my dad so it's buttons were not working properly so i could not message.now i gave it back to my father and he gave it to driver after chaging it's buttons from a shop./it was an old fashioned huge set so i don't even want to use it now after getting married.
The other cell phone nokia 3310 was the oldest set and i gavce it to my sister who gave it later to our maid.now the third one ws motorolla V3 Razor which i'm currently using but my husband dropped it on the marble floor and it's LCD got damaged which is not repaired and i am using it now.
The fourth set was LG chocolate which my sister gave me when my motoroola set was not working. It was her old mobile she had used it for two years.but that set was also accidently dropped by husband into a fountain in our house so it's LCD also got damaged so it is still in the same condition in my drawer.
CRAZY husband!!!!!

I have owned about 4 cell phones. I usually keep them a long time. Right now I switched over to a prepaid Tracfone because it is much cheaper for me.

I think I have lost one mobile phone so far, and it was during my way home. The water during the rain was too high and that the tricycle ride got me to raise my legs to avoid my shoes getting wet but, inadvertently, getting my phone out in the process.
As of now, I am still using my second phone, a Nokia N-Gage, already phased out and mine is showing signs of retirement. I still don't have money to buy a new one but, if I do, I'd get one that could also take nice pictures (^_^ )

Lost 5 phones in the past 4 yrs?? That's a bit too much to lose.. hehe ^_^ NO matter how cheap is the phone, as long as those thief can resell it for cash, they will still take it when the chance is there.. haha
As for myself, i have never ever lost my phone ever since i started using it.. Most of the time, i will be keeping my phone in my bag or my pockets, and i will always be looking out for it, as i'm always expecting a call or messgae to come in.. hehe ^_^ Thus, it does help me in some ways too ^_^

I think I've used 5 total, maybe 6. I have switched phones because I have switched carriers or just upgraded them to newer versions. I did replace one because I dropped it in the toilet once and ruined it. I have never lost one or had one stolen.
