Ya, Gifts are ought to be treasured :) They are meant as a TOKEN OF REMEMBRANCE and APPRECIATION :) I treasure gifts, i love gifts, If some one gifts me with something, i will secure it and as and when i like , i used to watch and play with it :)
Even if it is a card, it is great thing for me. Gifts are not valued based on the cost, and yes it is only valued by the care of the GIVER and the care of the TAKER.
Hope it helped :) take care:)

I treasure gifts because I view them as the articulation of something deeper than words. A gift is a symbol and being so it is priceless. Even if the gift is just a pressed flower or leaf which obviously for the materialistic mind wouldn't have any material value, for me, any gift is priceless. It's all the world to me if it is given from the purest of intentions.
One very precious gift too is presence. Presence of a friend in your life is something you can't keep as a collection but it's something you can keep in your heart. No amount of money can equal a friend's gift of presence when we are in pain and all the more so when we have joys to share. A person who isn't a friend will not be present in the real sense of the term when we are happy. Only true friends are happy for us when we are happy and they try their best to be present in our lives in times of happiness. People who are not true friends turn envious when we are happy.

Hello marketing friend. I value all the gifts to me from my friends and my students, however expensive or cheap they are. I think that they have the symbol of friendship and love and that they are worth preserving. I have a lot of gifts nicely preserved at home. They always remind me of my friends. Take care, friend.

No, i do not tresure gifts. It does not mean that i do not appreciate the effort. it just Means that gifts is not my love language.
There are many out there out like me, who would rather remember a appreciative remark or treasure a hug more than a gift. I do appreciate practical gifts & try to be as practical as possible while selecting gifts for others.
your question leads to another interesting question. In our country it is normal to open and see the gift as soon as its given. Is it the same everywhere???
