Receiving Friend requests

I have been receiving Friend REquests on MyLot and I have been accepting them. What is the purpose of this?

i think the people who think our views are alike want to b friends with us...
but actually having a friends corner can b said to be a necessity of this site so that the frenshps can be made to grow...
otherwise wt to do making friends when none has the time to talk back....

I joined few days ago, when I got my first friend request I aproved it, then I sent a msg to that friend but no response. Friend request in Mylot is for communication purpose,but when people don't want to remain in contact, then why they send friend request??

It's great that people are interested to be friends with you. Maybe you have a few things in common and would like to know you better and just to know what you have to say about stuff.
If you have many friends here in mylot, they can help you out if you have any questions or difficulties.
