I have watched the movie and read all the comments about it. People are writing comments like "Bella is not a good role model". I mean it is just a movie. Why do people especially have to make comments on if Bella is a good role model? It is just a movie like any other movie.

She is not a good role model. She sacrifices every part of herself for someone who is very dangerous to be around. Edward is a metaphor for everything bad that people want and shouldn't have. Bella is a symbol of all women (you could even go as far as to say that she can be seen as a metaphor for want) and when you have a symbol as such that gives into the metaphor for potentially hazardous Edward, it's never a good symbol.

I have not seen the movie yet, but my 14 year old daughter was amazed with it! She said that it was awesome! I agree with you that it is just a movie, it is up to parents to be the role models to their children.

I have not seen the movie. But my granddaughter's friend is reading the books and told her she had to read them. So she was asking me other day on the phone where she could find the books. I found out that Amazon has them online and Books-a-million has them in their stores. I am sure other book stores have them, too.
