Do you have any friends who do all the talking and never listen?

My very best friend calls me with problems and talks all the time about herself and her family, but never asks how I'm doing or what's going on in my life. If I say something in the conversation, she either doesn't hear me or ignores me and continues talking about herself. Once in awhile if I say something she'll say, Oh well, what are you gonna do? and then just keeps going on and on about herself. It's really making me reconsider our friendship. Do you have any friends like this? Did you confront them about it?

Nope, a person like this would never be my friend, not in my definition of friends. I don't talk much, but at least when I do, my friends listen and we share happiness and sadness, joys and burdens.
Your friend sounds more interested in herself to be concerned about anyone else. I don't know if confronting her would make any difference; but well, it's worth a try. Take care!

She doesn't sound like a very good friend to me. I have some acquaintences in my life who tend to be very self-centered. They are not people I call my friends, just people I have things in common with and end up having to spend time around them once in a while.
