My husband and I have decided it's time to start trying to conceive our first child. I have been on birth control almost my whole adult life and have never tried before. I know it's much easier for some than others, and being that I am starting late (37 years old), does anyone have any conception tips to share? Thank you for your responses!!

Anxiety can make it difficult to conceive so as hard as it may be you cannot obsess over whether or not it is happening, you have to relax. I would recommend weekly massages to reduce stress in general. Also, if there are any Bio Energetic Synchroniztion Technique (B.E.S.T.) practioners in your area they can help you significantly reduce stress, improve your health and also they can help you correct any problems you might come across that would reduce your fertility. The technique seems kind of weird but it is supported by a lot of scientific research. Dr. Morter (who invented the technique) alone spent $1 million dollars studying and perfecting the technique. Also, increasing fruit and vegetable intake. Taking slow walks enjoying nature. Try to think positive thoughts, negative thoughts cause your body to produce stress hormones which can mess with your hormone balance decreasing your fertility. Thats all I can think of at the moment, hope this helps!

Thank you for your response! These are some great tips. especially about trying to decrease stress and getting massages. I have been having a lot of tension in my back and shoulders and am going to see my dr. on Monday. I am hoping he refers me to a massage therapist. I am also drinking more water and watching my diet to be sure it is nutritious and have included pre-natal vitamins.
Thanks again!
