hi all!
we all know that sleep is an important part of human life. without sleep, a lot of problems will arise. a human may even die after just a few days without sleep.
the number of hours you sleep is also important, since this means that you either wake up refreshed or still feel groggy all day long.
some experts say that adults should sleep for only 6-7 hours per night. some other experts say that adults should have 8-9 hours of sleep per night.
in my case, i follow the 8-hour rule.
how about you guys?
thanks in advance! =)

That's true that individuals have to get enough sleep.I personally sleep 7-9 hours a day.If you always have sleepless night, that could be dangerous coz that will be the start of trouble to your body. You can get sick immediately. So better watch out how many hours you sleep.

you're right about the length of sleep and the harmful effects of lack of sleep. and it's good to know that many of us take care of our bodies properly by not sacrificing sleep. let's keep up the good work! =)

I used to go to sleep around 10 to 11 pm in the night every day, sometimes, it may be extened to 2 a.m. in case of my examinations times.
And also i will wake up at about 5.30 to 6.30 am regularly. only during the holidays, i may wake up around 7 am.
Normally the 8 to 9 hours sleeping is enough for the normal humanbeings.
6 hours sleeping is not enough for the normal life. this will really hurt your normal body, this will make you tired in the next couple of days.
Have a good (sleepy) day.

Hi mazdakid
Sleeping every day is a must for everyone. How long you should sleep depends on your
sleep itself.Yes.unless you have a sound sleep, there is no use of your sleep to the body.So I think,if you get up the next day fresh and more active, then your sleep was sufficient for the day.
I go to bed 11pm and get up at 6am.Most of the days, this seven hour of sleep is enough for me to get refreshed.
Soon I go to bed I go to sleep.

I make sure that I get a 6-8 hour night sleep. It makes me feel fully energized. I take naps in the afternoon too.
Sleep is very important to my parents when we were young. They always send us to bed early in the evening. When we are asleep no is allowed to make noise. Until now that is how we are treated in our house.
Thanks for the post. I never thought I could talk about my sleep.

I tend to sleep longer these days since retirement. I used to sleep if I was lucky, now I sleep nine or ten, sometimes even more. I guess there is no motivation for me to get up so I don't. Sometimes, even though I probably should get up since I woke up I don't. I just snuggle up next to my wife and go back to sleep

it's great that you are now able to rest well since your retirement. finally you could relax and worry less about things now that you don't have any headaches from the office. =) hopefully i can get the chance to retire as well (earlier i hope. hehe) so that i can start resting well and with absolute peace of mind. hehe.
thanks and happy mylotting!

I have stopped counting the hours that I sleep. I just sleep until I wake up. I have no problem with oversleeping either. Cheers!!

I usually sleep for approimately 7 - 8 hours. Which leaves me refreshed and ready for the day ahead, If I sleep any more than 8 hours it leaves me feeling really tired and I don't want to do much that day. I don't know why it just does. If I sleep for less than 7 hours I feel tense and tend to get a bit grumpy and miserable.
