junk foods?

Hi there! is eating junk foods can harm our health? I am fond of eating potato chips and my mom used to tell me that I can't get nutrients from eating such... what do you think?

Hi eynjel I too like eating junk foods like potato chips. Who will not like to eat potato chips? When you sit with a pocket of chips in front of a TV,unconsciously you will empty the pocket very soon. We all like junk foods,because they are tasty,widely available and easy to consume. They are convenient.They give us lot of calories. Then what is wrong with the junk foods?Why your mom says not to eat junk foods? This tasty junk foods contains more unhealthy ingredients. To list a few,I should say, refined sugar,white flour,trans fat,saturated fat,excess salt,and preservative and coloring agents. The result? Obesity,heart disease,type2diabetes,dental cavities and so on. Don't buy junk foods.Don't prepare junk foods at home.Just switch over to healthy snacks and avoid these health problems. I used to like different junk foods when I was still a kid because it tastes good. But then, my mom tells me also to refrain from eating such. She told me that I can not get any nutrients from eating junk foods.She advices me that it is better to eat biscuits rather than eating junk foods. Because she is too hard on me regarding eating those junk foods I start to envy other kids who have parents who permits them to eat many kinds of the food I want.However, even I have money of my own, I am still reluctant to use it to buy junk foods because for sure, my parents will scold me. Because of the way they discipline me in eating, I grew up not craving for junk foods. I realize that my mom tells me the truth about those foods. That those junk foods are just pure salt. I further realize that I don't have the reason to envy other because they have parents who is not that strict with them regarding their eating habits.Some of them got sick because of too much eating of junk foods. They got UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) from junk foods because it is undeniably that those foods contains ingredients which are not good. They said that it hurts so much. I also hear some of them curse junk foods because of the pain they are feeling.I felt sorry for what happened on them. And I can say that I am happy because I listened to my parents.Hope this contributes

Hi , your mom is abs right. I too am fond of potato chips but i avoid eating them because they contain oil and fat. If you eat too uch then your cholesterol levels will rise dangerously which could lead to heart disease. Moreover you will find yourself going towards obesity also leading to heart problems.Its ok to eat once in a while but not too much.Instead when you feel hungry eat dry fruits like nuts, almonds, walnuts, cashewnuts , raisins,peanuts, etc. They are very good for health and will make you strong. Also avoid burgers and all type of oily foods.lol.

Junk foods are very harmful if you take them continuously ,it will reduce your Hungry,you will become fat ,etc...so avoid taking these kinds of junk foods like potato chips etc.. so take fresh vegetables, fruits etc.. in your diet to live a healthy life .
