Cute e-mail greeting

I received a cute e-mail greeting from a friend a few days ago. It showed two cats laying next to each other with the following message (I know the English isn't proper, but it's still funny!)
"WE IS FRIENDS!
Me and you is friends.
You smile, I smile.
You hurt, I hurt.
You cry, I cry.
You jump off a bridge,
I gonna miss your e-mails."

It is funny! So we are assuming then that cats do not have the greatest take on the English grammar?
Just as long as you are not jumping off the golden gate bridge as I, for one, am against them putting up nets around it to catch those who would.
