Hello friends, I was wondering if you people can help me clarifying things about our health risk in exposing ourselves in front of our computer. We had just an argument with my wife about this.
She was complaining about the way how I use my PC. She's afraid of the computer radiation I would take from my PC if I would stay too long in front of it.
Is there any (bad) side effects of exposing ourselves in front of our computers?
How about those people working on 24hrs on computer business? Those people working on call centers?
The longest hours I am on my computer is 3 hours rest and back again but not everyday.
How about you guys?
What bothers me much is the risk of exposing too much time on our PC.

There is no evidence that prolonged exposure to computers is harmful to your health in any way. I've been in the computer field for over ten years...spent 8 years working for a community college where we spent 8+ hours each day working with the machines. If computers emitted dangerous radiation it would have been big news a long time ago and the danger would have been expelled a long time ago. You and your wife have nothing to worry about.

Well, I usually spend like around 6 hours a day before my computer and never had any health problems. My eyes are still very good though.

Yes. Maybe it was only my wrong way of thinking about long time exposure on my PC. Thanks on your idea...
