My friend/boss, "Hank", passed away this week. She was a truck driver, and was killed accidently on Jan. 6, 2009, while picking up a new load to be delivered.
Before truck driving, she gave birth to 6 children, adopted 1; worked as a real estate agent, and put all of her children through college. She donated to various charities, helped complete strangers, fed homeless people, and, I believe, lived solely for the purpose of helping others. Just this past Christmas, she bought, and delivered a Wii system to a little boy, whose family had no means to buy anything.
She was easily touched by others troubles, and made it her duty to make things better.
She employed me as her assistant. While on the road, I would take care all the things for her at home, for she was only in, maybe 3-4 days per month. After a while, we became so close. She was like another mother figure to me. She always encouraged me, supported my decisions, and gave me advice...even if I didn't like it. She cared, even when I didn't think she did.
She worked so hard, and the only rewards she wanted, was other people's happiness.
Even at the age of 68, she was in better health than most people half her age. And she never stopped, until tragedy struck.
I am not writing this for the money. You don't even have to respond. I am writing this, because she never got the recognition she deserved, for what she done for so many. So, I want everyone to know that one of the greatest people to ever bless my life, lost hers. She not only left her children, but 25 grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and too many friends to name.
And now that she has gone to reunite with the other angels, I am gonna miss her, and will forever love her.
Please value your friends, and let them know how much they mean to you.

i feel very sorry for you, she sounded like a great friend and sometimes they are hard to find. I think and many will agree she will definitly have a place in heven beacuse of all the great deeds she has done for those who are less fortunate. If their were more people like her in this world it would be a much better place.
