Why the Word Ambulance????

There is a simple reason to this. The word is written backwards for the benefit of other road users who drive or ride vehicles with side mirrors and/or rear mirror. When a vehicle with the word is behind them, they can easily recognise the word because the image is now correct. Therefore no one can give the excuse that he/she could not read the word and thus does not give way. all the best, rosdimy
