So how long are they?
Well, since i started schooling, the teachers have been always at my back barking me to cut my nails short. According to the school rules, our nails have to be so short as to "not white can be seen".
Now that i'm out of high school, and in tertiary education. They don't care less on the length of our nails. So now my finger nails are nicely manicured and i can afford to have a nice french manicure.
What about you?
Do you keep your nails short or leave them long?

I had my nails longer between my third and fourth child. Once I wasn't changing diapers and always wiping snotty noses I felt it was safe to have this one particular vanity item. With the birth of my fourth child I went back to short nails......it had been a while since I had done the delicate handling of a litle person and I didn't want to scratch him by accident. Now that he is three I am starting to grow them again.

I hate having my nails that short! I keep mine just a little longer than my fingers, that's about as far as they get before they start snapping off. I try to baby them but it never fails that they will be looking great and then my hand will slip and I'll break them all off or something wonderful like that. I file them square at the tip and would love to get a french manicure but never seem to have the time.

yah right, during school days having a long nails are not allowed. but during college days i started to have my nails manicured but i only use light nail polish colors. and after graduating i started to keep it long and cleaned. explore the colors on my nails such as red, pink, frosted, even black and having it changed so frequent. but now i get tired of it, i just simply manicured it and have it short.

Right now, mine are all short. I grow mine as long as I can until one breaks, and then I cut them all. There are some people in my life who keep saying, "Her nails are nice and long because she doesn't work hard." I'd like to scratch them with my nice and long nails for saying that because, honestly, that's just stupid. :-)

I am fortunate that I have very strong nails, so I grow them nice and long and always have them polished bright colours like red or pink.
I am also lucky that my husband and I split the housework, he tends to do the washing up and cleaning which involves bleach etc. I do all the cooking and ironing. That way my nails can stay long and polished for longer. There is nothing like soaking in water and handling bleach to ruin a good set of talons!

At present my nails are so short that no white can be seen. It is not the usual scenario. Generally my nails are big and almost french manicured. It is really nice to have long nails but I do not like very long ones. They should be short and sweet.

Hello Regal_aeros! My parents do not want us to have long nails. They always tell us to trim our nails because it looks dirty sometimes. Now that I am already married, I carried that habit - trimming nails and not grow it long. I also do not want long nails because I cannot maintain it. I do not have time to clean it or have manicure. I also have a two month old baby now so long nails is a no-no!

to answer your question:
The nails in the utility room are..........One box of roofing nails (short), One box of number 10 nails (mid-size), one box of number 16 nails (long), one box of brads (short), one box of brads (long). LOL

I keep my nails short, but not as short as you mention. I will have one eighth to one fourth of an inch of white. If they are too long they are in my way when sewing (my job), but a little bit of nail helps when picking up pins and needles.

I normally keep my nails short. I don't like going around with long nails. If I have long nails it will only be for a short period of time. Sometimes I will get my nails done, but maybe only for a special occasion. Like have long nails and everything. Otherwise, I just keep my nails short and trim.

I like to have long nails, but my nails are very weak, so I always use fake nails.
