have a dating parent?

my dad died 3 yrs ago almost..and my mom has started dating again..a guy whom is almost the same age as me never the less..i am not saying i dont want my mom happy and loved..just very weird to have chats with your mom about her boyfriend especially since you never thought this was something you would have to deal with in this lifetime ..how do you feel about a dating parent?
