pcb's cheif operating officer salim altaf on Tuesday has said that disgraced pacemen
Mohammad Asif has refused to pay the fee for the legal aid provided to him during his detention in Dubai last year.
The PCB had sent an invoice of Afridi and Angel, the legal firm hired to assist Asif duirng his detention in Dubai last year. The firm demanded an amount of six million rupees from the tainted paceman. Asif was detained on June 1 on his way back from his Indian Premier League (IPL) stint as opium was found in his possession.
"Asif's point of view is that he never asked for legal assistance so there is no question for him to pay the amount. It's early to say anything as we are waiting for his IPL hearing which is due on Januray 24 and 25,"Asif is also facing a two-year ban on charges of doping after his tested positive during the inaugural edition of the IPL last year.
