I'm trying to do some work online to make ends meet. It just takes a little time to play catch up.
I've also made my own laundry soap, and I'm experimenting with making my own fabric softener. Slowly, but surely, we're lessening how often we have to buy chemicals. It'll just take some time.

We work online to help ends meet
We never eat out or order in
We cook our meals at home from scratch ( prepared meals are just too expensive)
We also watch carefully our power comsumption and make sure to switch off lights when we leave a room ..etc
We lowered the thermostat by 1 degree ( and we keep it slightly lower at night than during the day)
We no longer buy laundry detergent but instead use white vinegar which is as effective and no more sensitive skin problems!
and so much cheaper
No more chemical and expensive cleanign products : the mop has been replaced by a steam mop (water), cleaning is done by using 1/4 vinegar, 1/4 lemon, 1/2 water .. and it works wonders and you can use it around kids and food!!
to scrub we use baking soda and it works also wonders in the toilet bowl
Laundry is made with cold water if the clothes arenot dirty but just need to washed because , well, they have been worn .. lol

I am making extra money by buying abandoned self-storage units at auction and reselling the contents. It's also a great way to save money because we find many things our own family can use, baby furniture, clothes, linens, sporting goods, kitchware, you name it, we find it! I write a blog about my secondhand business, and include information on antiques and collectibles. I also do free-lance writing for AC and Constant Content. You can find links to all these resources in my profile, I believe. All fun ways to make a few extra dollars!
