Have you started planning a Valentine's Day date, or getaway for your honey yet?

Valentine's Day is right around the corner. Have you started planning yet? I am married with 4 children, having some financial struggles right now, and Valentine's Day has been put on the burner for the past few years. This year, I'd like to plan something very special for my husband, but inexpensive. We have done the weekend getaways, the dinners/movies, etc. I was wondering what you do for your husband/wives for Valentine's Day? I'm hoping to get some good tips!

Normally around Valentines Day, my husband and I pick a resteraunt that we want to go eat out at and we go shopping to buy the other something for Valentines Day. This year though, I am hoping to find a job, to were we can do the same or a little something different. Because we will be celebrating our first Valentines Day as a married couple. But if not, I'm planning on just maybe making a special dinner for him and maybe finding something small and sweet that I can buy him on that day.

Congratulations on your marriage. This will be an extra sweet Valentine's Day! My husband and I always write the year on the back of the cards we get each other. We save all the cards. It's fun to read them over the years and see what we wrote/how we felt during a certain year. We've been married 12 years. Something small and sweet usually means more than something elaborate.

Sorry to hear about your breakup. When I was alone on Valentine's Day, I treated myself. I went shopping and bought myself a VCR (a long time ago) and got takeout and got drunk with my friends! It sure raised my spirits!
