After 15 appearances on the ballot, Jim Rice will finally be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
I grew up watching Rice, Yaz, Remy, Boyd, Fisk, and a lot of other notable Red Sox players. There has never been a hitter as feared by pitchers as Jim Rice. This guy would get up to the plate and foul off lots of questionable pitches until he found one that he could hit. The guy was amazing. I am thrilled that he has finally gotten the credit he deserves. He is a great player in baseball's history and has long been denied entry to the Hall.
Thank you Baseball Writers of America for finally recognizing him for his talent!

Yaz was only ever one of the Red Sox! From 1961 to 1983, Yaz wore #8 for the Sox, winning the Triple Crown in 1967 and seven Gold Gloves - not to mention 18 All-Star Game appearances. He, like Jim Rice, played his entire career for the Red Sox.
And as much as I appreciate what Manny did during his time with the Red Sox, I don't want him back.

Oh yeah, now I remember. I was thinking of Fred Lynn. Well, at least, it looked like Manny wanted to play when he was with the Dodgers. We'll see where he lands.

Manny Ramirez is a looser. If it wasn't for him Boston probably wouldn't have 2 world series wins at the moment. I threw his jersey in the garbage the other day. That's what I think of him. Red Sox are fine with out him. I don't want him back at all in boston. I was actually hoping that the red sox and dodgers would meet in the world series this past season so manny could return to fenway so all the fans could rush the field and kick his a$$!!
