I've been thinking about picking up part-time work to suppliment my regular earnings. I'm wondering how much time I should spend on this additional work, so I don't burn myself out. I have no idea how much extra money I'll be able to earn, but I'd like to try. I have a number of leads for "part time" writing work, but I'm afraid to jump in before giving it some serious thought.
How much time do you spend trying to earn extra money? Do you spend about half as much time doing that as you do your regular job? Less time? About the same amount of time??

I made about $350 from two of best earnings sites. You can check them out on my profile or blog on there. On average, I spend about an hour each day working on these sites.

Well, I think overall the majority of us are always trying to find extra ways to make some Extra $$ these days. With the Economy being the way that it is, if you can find extra things that will work for you, you are always better off. I too am wanting to find extra Writing jobs, etc. but just never sure where to always look. All I can say, is Balance. Fix yourself a schedule. Allot yourself a certain time each day to work towards each goal but also remembering to allow sometime for yourself as well. Wishing you the Best.

Well, if it is writing work, then the rates are probably going to be low. But then again, rates for writers are all over the place, so you might get lucky and find a decent gig right away. Doing writing for income, you end up having to explore several outlets, then weed out those that pay less than the others. It is the only way to do it as a writer.
For me, writing is my full time gig; at least, when I am not in college classes, that is. The reason for that is writing was the only work that I could find after I became unemployed.
But before that happened, when I had a full time job, I did it less than half the time that my day job consumed. It was never really good money, just enough to tease me. Even now, a cubicle job would pay better. *sigh*
