If you had a time machine, where would you like to go in time?

I love movies, stories, and TV episodes that are about time travel. But what if a time machine wasn't fictional but a real device that you could use to go to any place at any time.
Would you go forward in time to see what will happen in the future? Or would you go back in time to see great events of history or meet people you've read about?
One thing I might do is go back and propose marriage sooner to the wonderful lady I did eventually get around to marrying.
If I could go back in time and change history I think I would try to save the life of Abraham Lincoln.
What would you do if you had a time machine and could use it?

If I had a time machine I would want to go back in time instead of forward in time. I would rather be surprised then find out what is going to happen in my future. I would like to go back to the time when Jesus was born and see how things were just to be around him, and just being able to listen to his teachings and stuff like that.

That would certainly be an interesting thing to do with a time machine. Maybe you could try to talk with Peter and try to get him to avoid some of his boasting. You could tell him that people are going to be reading about what he said and did for many generations, so sometimes perhaps he should think bit before saying the first thing that came into his head. :o)

i think i'd go back to when the pyramids in egypt were built. there are theories on how they were build but it's not fact and i'll like to see it done. i think it would be amazing to see. i'm a museologist and work in museums and would like to later on study egyptology so this is why this interests me so much

That would be a fascinating time and place to visit. No longer having to guess how the giant pyramids were built. You could sit back and watch and say, "oh, that's how they did it!?
You would be able to see the actual tools they used and how they were able to move the great stone blocks into place.
Great idea for a time travel trip.

I would go to the beginning of human civilization. I wonder all the type what exactly happen in the beginning of the human race. There is very little proof of what happen. Hommo Sapiens evolve with other races but only us survive.

That would make for quite a trip. Like you say, there is very little real proof of what took place and when. There could be some real surprises if you could be there back then.
