No, Balaji. I don't agree with you.
To me, Yuvraj appears to be better than Ganguly. Ganguly in his earlier days was well known for his unsportive attitude. Whereas Yuvraj seems to show better matured attitude towards the game. And there is a lot of different in style between the two.
May be one is having talent or anything, but discipline plays an important role. Yuvraj can be better than Ganguly, if given chances as Ganguly was.

In test cricket Ganguly place can be taken by likes Yuvaraj Singh. But injuries and attitude of Yuvaraj is not helping him at all. Raina was given chance and he played well against the Aussies. In my view there are better left handed batsmen for India who can take place of Ganguly. Players like Saurav Tiwary, Suresh Raina, Abhishek Nayar and many more and the plus point is that these players are very quick on field and fielding standards will go up and these players are better fielders than Ganguly. Presently Yuvraj has recovered from shoulder injury but he lost his batting touch, so, he need to go back and play the domestic cricket as much and come back to good batting form then try for the test side. Selectors these days are not keen in picking Yuvraj in test side that shows that he is not playing up to his expectations. Finally, my dear balaji, no one can play like Sachin Tendulkar or Rahul Dravid or Ganguly, they are great but Indian cricket should think beyond these players because they are getting old and any moment they can hang their boots. Then what then we will go and search for a young player to fill their places. We should see that a good left hander comes in the middle of the batting order and play a good cricket that is what matters most. Ganguly did right thing by retiring from test cricket and allowed the new players to show their skills on international arena. So, it is not fair to compare Yuvraj with Ganguly, both these players have their own positives and negative aspects in their cricket skills.

Ganguly is a great player. Every cricketer in Indian team are best in their own ways. we cannot compare one with another. ganguly cannot play like Yuvraj and vice versa... why should yuvraj play like ganguly or some body else. As far as he is a match winner, let him keep going...

It is too early to comment. Yuvraj has not played as many games at the Test level as Ganguly. Ganguly was consistent throughout his 12 years of cricket. (11 years, if u discount the 1 year he was away). He was dropped not for form, but because of politics.
And further, the aspect of cricket keeps changing every 10 years. Gavaskar and Sachin, both are exemplary batsmen, but u cannot compare both. Similarly Srikanth and Sehwag, play same kind of cricket, still if u look at way game has played, it has changed.
The rules, pitch, technology, money, everything has changed
Yuvraj is a guy of today. Jus because he scores tons, it can be said, he is better off ganguly. Let us wait for another 3 years and see his class. Remember, Test Cricket is where one's class is known
