Well, I have received a few best responses and I suppose they are responsible for your mylot reputation to go higher. I don't think it affects your earning on mylot. But ultimately, it is good to receive a best response.

I think, if you receive considerable number of best responses, out of the responses posted by your, your rating will go higher in the long run. Ratings are calculated by mylot and it is a complicated process. Besides, it will will you a kind of happiness, which you can feel only. To see that your response has been selected amongst many responses, as the 'best one' is an awesome feeling. All the best to you.

Hi,Receiving best response implies that you responded to a discussion and among all those responses; yours has been chosen as the 'Best' by the ' Person who posted the Discussion ' . It does not mean that the response was definitely the best; but it was the best as per the person who voted it . I do not know how much more you earn for that best response; yet it definitely adds a bit to a person's reputation in Mylot . Regards

Personally, i would just be flattered if i am chosen as the best repondent for a ceertain topics, especially if there are plenty of responses! Imagine being chosen as the best answer given, among all the others! Its not juts flattering but self-satisfying as well. Though i have heard some time ago that it somehow increases your ratings and your earnings (?) but i am not sure about this one as this is highly debatable. =) cheers thanxiang! have a nice day! =)

Does it influence the star rating next to our names?
