Does anyone have information on the newest software by Microsoft - Windows 7? I heard that a beta came out not too long ago, I was wondering what the major differences between it and Vista are. If there's anyone that can do a quick run-down of their differences that would be appreciated. And what are your thoughts about the two? I know that Vista didn't receive good reviews when it first came out because of all the bugs they had to fix and stuff. What are your expectations for Windows 7 if you haven't used it yet? What didn't you like about Vista that you hoped they might have changed in 7? Happy Posting!

In all reality, for the front-end user, there are very few differences between windows 7 and windows Vista. The main difference is the cool new taskbar, looks like it took a page out of Mac's book with a dock-like taskbar. There are a few more control panel options, and a new "homegroup" concept which makes it easier to share files securely over a local network. But other minor changes like that, there aren't a lot of big changes. It isn't like between Windows 2k and XP, or even XP and vista. It was more like between windows 95 and 98, not too much changed.

vista is the worst windows os yet. It is slow and has higher specs compared to my old pc, which has xp and start up just as fast as my current one. I hope windows 7 is better in terms of speed and power.
