Guys with long hair?Why not?

I like to grow my hair long, because it is so wavy that my hair looks stupid when short. A lot of girlfriends way back have tried to tell me to cut this off, and I did only to have it grow back within even a few months. This went on until they eventually got tired and let me have my way. Lol. I know most girls are turned off by the sight of a guy with long hair, but hell, I don't care. :P

I just don't like the look of long hair on a man, bit of a turn-off actually. I love it when my husband has just had his hair short and it is shaved up the back. :)

According to me, guys should be guys and gals should be gals. I believe guys should have short hair and gals long hair. Its the natural order. Its looks ridiculous when people try to change the order. Hence to restore normalcy, guys should not grow long hair and gals should not have short hair

Hey it's good. I've tried it once and it looks great coz I really took care of it. The only hard thing for it is it's difficulty to manage. It took me around 30 minutes a bath everyday coz I need to apply and massage it well with shampoo, and so as conditioner. My average time in bathing with short hair is just 10 minutes so do the math. But the looks, it's great.. Check out the rockstars from the 1970's to 1990's. Almost all of them had long hairs and they look great..

I personally don't like looking at guys with long hair. I remember I did when I was in middle school, but it was kind of a fad back then and lots of guys had longer hair. Now I prefer it if guys would keep their hair short - gives a more tidy appearance, since most guys tend to NOT be neat =P

Well different people different choices may be its a turn-off for many girls and it is also turn-on for many girls. I depend on person to person... even i've a long hair and i love to keep it this way...coz its silky smooth... even girls get jealous sometimes...hehe

some guys looks good in long hair.. but that's just on tv/movies. in person, they look really messy & stinky. generally i prefer guys with clean cut hairdo.

Hmm.. perhapes it had been ingrained in all of us since young that girls have long hair and guys have short hair? It had been part of the human culture ever since civilizations. And in actual fact, it also depends on one's race, religion and culture too. In the past, Chinese guys has long hair that is plaited and that is considered to be a sign of muscularity. However, as times progressed, the plaits have then given way to short hair. In Singapore, long and short hair in a guy is pretty much common. However, once a guy steps out into the working world, he is expected to keep short hair as it shows a clean cut image that others can trust and believe in. Having long hair in Singapore in the past is considered to be a sign of the secret society. Thank goodness the gangs in Singapore had been wiped out in the 80s and there is no longer a stigma attached to guys having long hair here. I have also seen for myself that in Malaysia Kampungs, 99% of the guys there usually sport long hair there. As to them it is considered cool. Ultimately, it boils down to one's place of upbringing, the morals and values imparted to us by our parents, our race and religions that sets our mindsets as we grow older. Hopefully, this helps! To me, long hair in a guy is acceptable, but of course that is also due to my own upbringing whereby my dad do sport long hair! Lol. Take care and happy mylotting! And of course, if your boyfriend's friend is working with machineries, then it is much wiser to be keeping short hair rather than long ones as one will never know when your hair might get caught in the machineries!

My girl friend friend is different she like long hair but when i met her at first with long hair she said that long hair is nice but she does not like me to have long hair. Comming to the work enviroment it may not look a professional in the office having long hair. I know how difficult it is to maintain long hair.

Yes, I feel guys with long hair look better, but it is also a matter of freedom. Tody, there are many guys with long hair but I do not consider long hair as a sign of masculinity. Long hair actually isa sign of femininity because it is women who have long hair. I feel those guys who have long hair are actaully feminine in nature and long hair unconsciously brings out the woman in them.

Who is traditional-minded that oppose the men have long hair. But many men like long hair,especially artist and young men.

boys have a short hair is traditional thinking especially in Asian countries, people will think he is a good and serious person, especially in the eye of seniority. Now a days, many boys like to have long hair, or to show his special personality or because he is doing works as artist, he need to show special and to be superior among others, it's not bad, I think. But I like the boy with clean and good finished, it's more acceptable by others. Boyes with long hair most probably occure among 20 ages or more than 35 years old, one is too young, one is mature. But for younger to have long hair, better to think about before decision, because he need to face more persons, espeically the students, he need to go to company for work and need to be tested, with long hair may give not serious impression to others. But if you are person to do art, singing or drawing, it's ok to have long hair to show your speciality.

It doesnt matter if a guy has long hair. It matter what they can do. Maybe the company says long hair is bad because hes doing machinery and his hair got get stuck and he could get hurt. Hair doesnt mean masculinity to me, it just look like lazy to cut hair thing.

Long hair with guys? What's wrong with that! I have long hair myself and i know lots of people with long hair! It's not that special anymore! I can get some people think its strange in a sterile area but dont't they have those little nice hair nets for that :P Problem solved right?!

I really don't have any idea about why there is a problem for guys with long hair. Sopme of them look really good with long hair but there are some who don't also.

Well when i had my first girlfriend, my hair was all the way down just enough to cover my neck. When i had my second, my hair was long all the way down to the back of my shoulders. My third, Still down at the back of my shoulders. Then all the way from my 4th to 5th girlfriend, i've grown my hair long. In between relationships, my hair was cut short. Sometimes shaven. Those were the times where i couldn't get or find myself a girlfriend. It means it doesn't matter whether my hair is long or short, ladies will still love me. Right now i'm clean cut. I got tired of long hair.. and yeah, i'm single again.
