Well here in Canada in the extremely cold prairies, there are some brave people who will go out in the very cold minus 20 degree weather and go for a walk, mostly because they have to. Believe it or not, there are those that love this weather , but not me. I will go out when I have to, but if the wind makes it feel colder, I will stay inside, will run up and down the stairs, walk around the house, and keep myself busy. But really there is not much that you can do except when you are putting the dishes away, do one at a time - it is not much of a walk between the sink and the cupboard, but doing it over and over again, you are at least moving.

I hate the cold weather, and I am always gaining weight in it. This time, I actually lost but that was because of my finding I had diabetes and my metabolism going all screwy. Now I have to walk to get the groceries because my husband can no longer drive and in minus 30 weather? It aint very pleasant. I sure wish that he could say "we are moving to British Columbia" instead of wanting us to move to an apartment. It will still be freezing when I go out to get groceries in winter there.

Hi market, after reading your discussion above, I then come to know people living in temperate country, like you couldn’t do outdoor exercise anymore during severe cold winter days. Anyway you are still smart enough to have your regular exercise as usual by doing indoor exercise. It’s nice to do aerobics with fast pace music and staircase climbing. My gosh! It’s really an incredible and tough job to climb up and down 15 floors! Lol I believe your weigh must dropping very fast.
Here we couldn’t do our outdoor exercise only during rainy days. So I’m forced to do my on the spot jogging in front of the tv. Anyway I could enjoy exercise and watching tv program at the same time After that I would like to continue doing some relaxing exercise using the rattan hula-hoop.
Happy posting and take care.

Hi marketing,
wow...that is cool that you are close to mountain! I
love that during summer!
The only time I can exercise is when I was watching "TV Patrol" LOL! I will also try to bed my bodies and execute any forms of body exercise!
I will also jog in my place! It's not daily since I am also cold sometimes but at least 3 times a week!

Hi there Marketing!
I actually find it easier to exercise when it is cold. It will make me feel warmer and I wouldn't be sweating too much. These last few days, weeks actually, it has been unusually cold in our place and for me, it is the perfect time for exercising. I do the treadmill and I dance.

Cold weather exercising can be fun but you have to be extra careful to pay attention to the elements. There have been so many people who have hurt their body and health by not paying attention to nature's elements. The best outdoor exercises are ones that promote cardiovascular health, like brisk walking, or taking long walks with a friend - and make sure you carry plenty of H2O.
