I love burning candles. I almost always get a bunch of candles etc for a gift at the Holidays as well from family. Now this shot shows 7 candles burning on the shelf above my TV early this morning. I also had one 4 wick large candle burning at the same time on the coffee table. I burn them for the aroma as well to help rid the area of smoke from my cicargettes. My daughter even commented about my candle burning this weekend. She saw how many were lit and then said, the candles she bought me would last her a year at least. Well they will last me a month maybe. That is why I buy most mine at a Dollar Store. I got 12 scented votive candles and a box of 12 secented tea light candles as well. It's hard now to find the tall pillar candles anymore at the Dollar Store. When I do find them they are usually $3 or $4 though. But still a bargain. Do you burn candles? A lot? Or just one or so at a time? What is your pourpose for burning them?

Very pretty picture! I love burning candles too. The more, the better. Even during the day, it just makes the house seem so much more warm and cozy in the winter. I don't burn them as much inside during the summer, instead I burn them outside at night.
I love the scented ones, right now I am burning two from Bath and Body Works, both Cherry Blossom. If I don't have several of the same scent, I try to at least make sure the different scents work with each other.
I do burn candles for religious reasons but the usual reason for burning candles would be just because they scent my home, they look beautiful and they make me feel good!

Thank you very much.
My family, especially my daughter, think I am crazy at this activity.
But it gives me peace and a warm feeling in my heart actually most times. I have Tioki Torches I burn outdoors. In fact I may burn one tonight and take a photo. I have them sitting in my front lawn near my deck for the ambiance. I have Strawberry and vanilla burning in this photo. The votives and tealights are strawberry, the larger ones on the speakers are Vanilla. These 2 together smell great actually.

i love to burn candles, too. i can still recall those days when my children counted only two. we even played with the candlelight and the melted wax.
i used to be contented with the non scented ones. that's how they have always been before.
once i tried to burn some scented ones and found them to be soothing. i can still remember that my younger sister bought me so many dozens of candles upon learning that my family enjoys candlelights so much.

I've found that Vanilla scented candles mix with all other scents.
They do for me at least.

Hello Grandpa Bob the only time I burn candles is in the mossy season, I was told that citrus candles will drive away the damn mosquitoes who like to have a nibble on Wolfie, aparantly citrus is a repellant to them, I don't usually like candles but I was willing to try using them for the sake of not getting bitten! It seemed to work along with garlic as well, never know why they like me so much, maybe my blood is sweet!

A flyswatter works as well as most things toi get rid of those pesky skeeters here in Minnesota in the heat and humidity of summer. Garlic? I can't let my wife know that as she pushes garlic for all ailments and or cures etc as it is now. HAHAHA!

Do you burn different scents at one time and if so does that work ok with all the different smells? I have a few candles but only burn one at a time in the living room and other rooms in the house but mainly the living room. My daughter also loves candles and she will burn 2 to 3 at a time. I don't burn them real often but sometimes I just want that good smell in the house.

Mostly I burn the same scent.
Buit vanilla scented goes well with almost any other scent burning actually. Thats what's in this shot. Small strawberry ones with the 2 larger ones being vanilla. I also keep one burning in the office when I am on the computer. I have a large 4 wick one as well as a stand for 3 of the 4 inch tall pillar candles that I burn on the dining room table most the time as well as in the opffice. So I guess I love candles huh?

I rarely burn candles because it's so easy for me to forget to put them out! I don't smoke in the house so I don't need them for odor control--and believe me, with this weather I'm sorely tempted to break my rule! But I won't.
I love candles, though. I finally found a bayberry candle for my dad last Christmas, he loves that scent and so do I, but it's very hard to find!

I don't leave mine unnattended either.
Not safe to do especially with a dog in the house.
But they are never where he can get them if left alone.

it has been a habit of mine to keep some candles handy at all times. i always buy the big, big ones. i love the aroma that the burning candle gives out. however, my youngest son do not like the smell of burning candles. since we are living in a small apartment, i don't burn candles anymore unless the lights go on a black out.
sometimes, i would like to burn at least a candle even just for an hour. but since it gives my son some inexplainable headaches, i just have to douse my desire for doing so.

I love burning candles, I usually burn the tea light candles and I have many different size and shape candle holders. My favorite candle holder is this lantern, can stand alone or can be hung up, it is make of steel and comes in steel color, white or black, Ikea sells it for $4.99.

I love burning candles but my husband doesn't like it at all. I love the ones that smell so good. Hubby hates the smell. I go in the bedroom where my computer is and I burn them there. He watches a tremenous lot of TV so while he's doing that I burn a candle and talk on myLot during the evening. During the day he's at work and I do burn candles then. I had to laugh one day I had got a candle from my daughter yummy did that smell good. Apple and cinnamon, anyway hubby came home and of course I had the candle put away and he asked if I had done baking I said no why? He then said oh maybe his sniffer was on the bummer because he thought it smelled good in here. I told him about the candle but no more was said.

I normally only burn one maybe 2 candles at a time. I don't burn them very often either. Maybe a few times a week. I like the scent that some candles have, so I light them to get that scent in the air. I used to burn candles a lot more than I do now, but with an almost 2 year old who climbs on everything it is not so easy.

Yes, I burn candles a lot so I ma always happy to receive them as gifts. I especially like having candles lit when we eat as a family or when we eat outside on the patio. Children behave better when candles are lit as the mel is then a special occasion. I often give my grand twins dinner by candlelight, they are 31 months old and love it. Blessings

I just love the scent of those candles but I can not have any around any more because I now live in a house with my 76 yr. old mother and our 30 cats! My mother is forgetting a lot of things now and might burn down the house like she did 5 years ago using candles! She had one going at the kitchen sink near the curtains and forgot about it and went to sleep, well one of the cats apparently bumped the candle into the curtains and the rest is history! She had 15 cats at the time and they all made it out alive but the poor little guinea pig didn't, (I tried CPR, but only smoke came out of it's mouth), I lived next door at the time. She also lost her prize angel fish. So we now live in another house together with her 15 cats and my 15 cats, (she can't live alone any more). I would love to be able to burn those lovely smelling candles but I better not take the chance!

Personally I would say that I go thru spurts on how often I burn Candles. I do have a lot though so it could be a while until I really had to buy any, but I do find myself smelling some of the Candles in stores from time to time as well. But $4 for a Tall pillar is a Great deal. I Love the Big 3 wick candles, but they are getting harder to find as well.

I have to start getting the pillars at regular stores as I have not been able to find any at the dollar stores for the past 5 or 6 weks. Oh well. WalMart carries the large 3 and 4 wicked candles usually for like $7 to $10.

I used to burn candles all the time. Sometimes 1 but usually 3 or 4 at a time. Always scented ones. I used to smoke and that's part of the rreason I'd burn them. I also like the smell of them. I no longer smoke and have small children in the home, so I don't usually burn them at all anymore. Only once in a blue moon.

I love burning candles because these set up the mood and give you the feeling of romance and warmth. But i do not burn candles now a days because my son is very naughty and tries his hands on everything and i make sure that his hands do not reach out to them.
