I don't know if I cook my noodles in the typical way, but I just boil them, drain them, add the seasoning, and eat them. That's it. However, I know there are people that cook them differently.

Normally I cooke Ramen the normal way just by following the directions on the package for soup. However, I have made some casseroles that I cook the Ramen, drain it, then add the seasoning, hamburger (or other meat), some mixed vegetables and cheese, then bake it to warm it up. Its yummy. My dad, on the other hand, likes to eat the noodles raw as a crunchy treat. We use the seasoning packets for cooking. Ramen is just a very versatile food.

Note to add: Ramen Seasoning packets are great for making gravy.

Wow I never thought about that but I will definitely have to try that sometime it sounds really good. I am a total meat girl I have to have it with every meal so this would be something cool to try and I'm sure my son will to. thanks!

Hiya Cassleiner! I have just read your way of cooking noodles (with hamburger and veggies and cheese) and I can't wait to try it at home! :) Thanks for sharing :D

I love ramen noodles. The pork flavored ones are my favorite. I just boil them add the seasoning and then drain most of the broth off. I sometimes add meat and veggies to them to make a whole meal. They are a great way to use up a few leftovers.

I cook mine the same way you do. I don't like all the liquid in it like the directions call for. I don't always use the whole seasoning packet though.

I don't like the extra water either it seems like it doesn't allow the noodles to soak up the seasoning.

If I make them I put them in a bowl with some water and microwave for awhile. Then I add about half the seasoning packet and eat it like soup, though they are good as a side dish too.

I tend to be a little lazy when making them. I just put them in the microwave in a bowl full of water drain all the water out and mix it up to eat them. I dont think they are any better when boiled they taste the same to me.

Essentially, what you do, and what I do, is the same thing. The only difference is the quantity of the packets of noodles. I'm guessing on that one though.

I usually cook about two packs at a time since my son likes them too. It's just easier for me to set them in the microwave. I'm constantly chasing him around the house.

I use ramen noodles in place of egg noodles for turkey and noodle or chicken and noodle soup. If you have chicken or turkey already cooked, just put it in chicken bouillon, add the ramen noodles and cook until done. It's a really quick and cheap meal. You can add peas if you have them, I don't keep them on hand all the time and it's just as good without them to me.

LOL. I think I just answered this post with my secondary reply on your last one about ramen noodles! Well anyway, I can be a bit more specific here. I boil the noodles for about 3 minutes. In a measuring cup I microwave 2 3/4 cups of water for 2 1/2 minutes. Strain the noodles and plop into a bowl. Pour seasoning into the measuring cup of hot water. Stir Well. Pour seasoned water through a strainer over noodles in the bowl. Yum! I also like to drop potato chips (regular flavor) into my soup and let them soak in the broth before eating them. Not sure how I started that, but have been doing it for many years now.

I do time it using my cellphone's stopwatch. I boil the noodles at exactly 3 minutes. I don't want to estimate because my noodles usually ends up overcooked or still raw. Sometimes i put all the seasonings and mix them on the plate. Pour the noodles then mix it together with the seasonings.

I make them as a soup. I just boil them and add the seasonings. I also use them to make a coleslaw which invovles no cooking. You use coleslaw mix, ramen noodles, the seasoning pack, sunflower seeds and vinegar and sugar. I love this for on a picknick because you don't have to worry about it spoiling.

There are lots of fun ways to make the Ramen Noodles. Here are just a few examples of some of the recipes that I have used. To start. Making a salad out of them. I have taken the Ramen cooked it up, no seasoning. Then added chopped onion, soy sauce, fish sauce, fresh bell peppers and a few other veggies to jazz it up, I also put in some canned chicken. Mix it all up and you have a tasty salad. I also like to make it into a casserole of sorts. I add some canned veggies, some sort of meat, ground beef works pretty well, then a creamed soup as well. Mix it together, put it in a casserole dish top with some cheese and you are set.
