I have forgetten how I learn to use it.But i don't think it's difficult to learn. The gesture is almost like you were holding a pen.You will use it well as long as you pratise it~~
there is no exact gesture of holding chopsticks. It is right as long as you can pick up your food~~sometimes when i can't pick the food up,i may stick the food with my chopstick~~^^

Oh I really admire people who can use chopsticks, I just can not master it, mind you it might be good for losing weight in my case anyway, I think the Chinese people are very clever to use them the way they do.

Well now, the chopstick is not exclusively for Chinese food. Japanese and Korean dishes are also best consumed with chopsticks. To be honest, it just adds up to the authenticity of the meal, but if you don't know how to use them, make do with a spoon or fork.
It's actually easy to learn how to use a chopstick, but you will need a lot a practice to master it.
