Have you ever slapped or punched anyone on the face?

I've just gotten in touch with an old friend from high school and I couldn't help but remember this silly game we did where we challenged to slap each other on the face and don't cry. First i slapped her ... she was teary eyed. I said sorry. Then it was her turn. She slapped me and i completely was thrown out of my position. My right cheek was red! She's a lefty. She was like "oh i'm so sorry". I went "Sorry? you're mad at me!" hahaha I couldn't believe we found each other on friendster after so many years. I got to admit slapping someone on the face felt pretty good but wait til you get slapped!
How about you? Have you slapped or punched anyone on the face before? What was the situation?

Well.. I am not proud to say that I have done something like that before. I didn;t think that physical punishment is something that would be good not only for the relationship but also in the communication experiences. I believe that it affected something in the relationship between me and my partner and I really hope that I would never lose control anymore in this.

Oh i just remembered...i was slapped in the face once by my mom. I think i was 14 that time. She got mad cause i talked back at her. She thought it was rude. Thinking back now that I'm a parent myself I thought I deserved the slap but I don't think I could slap my own daughter on the face. I just walk away everytime i don't like her tone on me.

Oh wow... My mother did it to me too. I believe it is not a good childhood memory but yeah, maybe nowadays people cares more about parenting and child psychology more than the old days. But yeah, I think we should be more careful with what we do, we could argue and talk and maybe get angry but let's get calm and never getting physical.

Hey,
Yes i have made mistakes and this is somwething which iam not really proud of. Incidents like this shd not be shared as kids could be reading this posts too.
So i better just that yea i have punched/ slapped/ kicked .. did everything. Though trust me iam a very calm person now.

I wasn't proud of the game i had with that friend of mine. I never shared it with my own daughters. I know that eventhough it was just a game it was also harmful. I just thought it was kind of funny now as I remember it but back then it was not. We were good sports though and that's what mattered.

Come to think of it... I never did! I mean, not something that was worth calling "a real slap"! We have a gesture where you like slap someone but in slow motion and it doesn't hurt, it's a lot like turning someone's head really - and it only means "that's absurd!" and we only do it with close friends. So no I've never slapped or punched anyone on the face - I do however punch my guy friends on the arms :D just because they let me.

I am generally very docile & shy by my nature. I tend to avoid fight & quarrel as much as possible. But some times in life fights go unavoidable. I remember one such incident,that happened to me a year back. I was waiting for my bus in a bus stop. A fully drunk man came there & started teasing people standing there. I was one of his victim. As I protested he got more violent. I didn't have another option but to beat him up to unconsciousness. A few guys out there also joined their hands with me.I still regret that day as the man was much older than me. I wish nothing like that had ever happened with me.thank you very much.

I'm totally not a slapper. i dont slap anyone. i'm more a wrestler: i take my opponent down with force. once, we were playing rugby (football), and i tackled someone so hard, that he was doing weird for 5 minutes. after all it was kinda funny

I have never been slapped but I have been in several school fights that landed someone being punched or slapped. We wasn't playing we was real fighting.........Great Day!

Dear friend,
I never did as you have played. But during my school days I had few fights that I had punched and slapped on other and also I too got back. But after my school days I had never punched or slapped any nor I had received from any.
