I don't know whether it's good or bad for your health but I can tell you that it's not so good for your weight. When you eat, you take in calories. If you're sleeping, you're not burning as many calories as you have taken in so your body is busy converting the excess into fat while you snooze.

Some say its bad since you might get bad dreams. But I think a nap would be okay as it helps you blood to circulate more on the stomach area because you would not need that much blood supply in other areas. I also think that is the reason why we feel sleepy after eating is because our blood supply is focusing towards your stomach delivering oxygen and getting the nutrients out of it to deliver to various parts of the body.

Yes, I always get tired after my dinner, or lunch. And I did read in the newspaper today about a researche done. People who sleep lot, seems not be so sick than others. The trend said if you do not sleep enough you easier catch the cold. I am not so lucky this night, having problem to sleep. And when I tryed for at least a couple of hours, I gave up. Lucky there is mylot so the time goes a bit faster than if you lie in your bed waiting for the dreams.

Hello opikoji! Sleeping is good but if you oversleep, that's the time it would be bad. 6 - 8 hours is the average hours that we have to sleep. Actually, everything that we do must be balance and moderate because if it's over, it would be an abuse.

I don't think its really good...but i do it sometimes. I don't think it can really be all that bad for you. everyone is different though and i think eating a big meal and then sleeping makes it more likely that you'll become fat/fatter... i think that's the only bad thing/down side effect of eating and then sleeping. but some people can do that and not gain weight. my cousin is like that but i'm not really. i always work out though so i can do it as well but i don't like doing it often.

Well, from what I have read, it is not good to sleep right away when you have a full stomach. Probably if you eat and your stomach is not that full, then it would be okay. There is always a possibility of suffering from pancreatitis if you sleep right away with a full stomach since when your stomach is full it is expanded, this will eventually put more pressure in your pancreas when you lay down. It would be best to give it at least 30 minutes of allowance after eating before you sleep which I often do. Besides, it is also not good for digestion if you sleep right away after eating.

I think that it might not be such a great idea. Resting after a meal especially a big meal could end up putting weight on the body. It is better to stay in action after eating. Eating can make people tired though as a rule.

What I mean by action is just the fact that it is probably important to keep moving around so you are not just laying around and possible putting on extra weight.

Sleep after eat is not good special if you feel your stomach full. But yes that right every time you finis eat you will feel sleepy, i have problem like that too. So now when lunch time, am just eat slat fruit, if i want eat normal food for lunch am not eat to much until my stomach full. Just not big portion to avoid feeling sleepy after lunch.
