I actually have a type of headache that is caused by a swelling in the brain. No painkillers help. I have found that restricting sodium, eating lots of potassium-rich foods, drinking lots of water, and watching my sugar intake helps.

Excellent input! I don't know if that's ever the reason for mine, but I know that I do eat too much salt and never get enough water. I have been trying to increase my water, and I've heard about all the wonders that potassium promotes in the body. Sugar is not an issue, I'm not big on sweet kinda stuff although I like fruits, but I hardly ever eat them. Thank you so much for replying! Aloha!

I forgot to mention that I started to take garlic as a diurectic and it is good for my blood vessels. It also seems to help.

Depends on the headache.
Sinus Headache - sudafed sinus.
Tensions Headache - Catnip
Sleeping to much or not enough headache - Meditative Train Sound cd ...
Visions headache,,, fresh air laying on the ground or the floor...
Most simple headaches.. Channeling Reiki, or other healing energies to myself.
Caffiene Headache .. Coca - cola Classic
I avoid Advil it makes me ears ring. Ib profin does nothing, and tylenol makes me feel like I am in outter space ... So I usually use the herbal or channeling energy to remedy it.

I need good headache pills. Neither ibuprofen, paracetamol, nor aspirin work at all for me. Ibuprofen actually makes my headaches worse!

Yep. Seems that's it for alot of people. I like it except that it's so unproductive as far as a work standpoint goes. And since 9 to 5ers can't usually sneak it in during the day, unfortunately it's not always a viable option. Thanks for replying. Aloha!

The best thing I found is a natural cure - it's called Migrastick and is a roll on of peppermint and lavender oils. It's not an overpoweringly strong smell, but rubbed on the spots where the headache is, it's great! Works for migraines, though for that I also take two Mersyndol (paracetomol with codeine).

I haven't heard of the Migrastick. Peppermint & lavender, huh? I'll look into that! I did recently pick up some of that "head on", but to be honest, I don't know what's in it. It's like a fat tootsie roll size twist up tube of stuff that looks like those clear deoderant sticks. Seems to work ok. Thanks for replying! Aloha!

You go right for the strong stuff, eh? I think I've taken that just once. I had such a killer headache, worst ever. I took it and just buried my head under the pillow because light, sound, thinking...everything was hurting my head. Uuugh! Fell asleep & woke up without it. Thank heavens!! Thanks for responding. Aloha!
