I wish I could but I don't. My fairytale just blew up in my face. I am on my way to a divorce after 4 years of marriage. I thought we would be together forever, he had other ideas. I think fairy tales used to be a way of scaring children or a way to give them some morality. But now I think they just lead us to disappointment as we look for our own happily ever after, life isn't easy and no prince is going to sweep me off my feet. Marriage is hard and some people just give up like my husband did. Life is more like Shrek than Sleeping Beauty.

Maybe. But it how life seems to go for me. I never can quite seem to get it all together. I guess life is just kind of like that. All I can say about it is that I never really get what I want but it never totally demolishes me either. I just keep powering through and I guess that is all you can do and cherish the golden little moments that we sometimes get to experience.

No, I don’t. but they are a great stress-buster anyway. They are great to bond with our children and no matter what age we are, if we keep our imagination open, we too can be transported to the land of magic.
