"I think you should be part of my advisory council."
How does it feel? Wow! Yes, those were words given to me by Mr Bob Briddon (Avon General Manager - Philippines). He said, "thank you Jny, i think you should be part of my advisory council..." Omg! My hearts beats faster than usual again. It was one hell of an inspiration. The way I see it, its suggesting I should go for my goals & perform better. Let's say 50% or even higher growth vs. last year? Aw! Thank you, Mr Bob.
I was lucky to be among the 6 chosen ones to join the GMAC (General Managers Advisory Council - top 30 sales & growth performers in Avon Philippines) & Queen Bees (almost GMAC contenders / candidates) Dagupan Branch meeting w/ Mr Bob Briddon (Avon Phils President).
I actually suggested that the company should also take a look & give support to young Avon entreprenuers (college students for example) who are taking advantage of Avon's sales leadership to support their studies & their families too. If they can make a program or a peer community aligned to these young ones needs. I was happy that he promised that they will see how it will be done & will consider it soon. Wow! I love Avon!! I am really in a company who not only supports but ensures that we not only get bigger network but meaningful ones.
This greatly supports my passion on teaching teens to be enteenpreneurs. We have an economic situation and I can also feel its effect. The buying power of my used to be earnings is obviously going down. It was a challenge at first but for my business? Its an opportunity. The company has given earning opportunities not only to countless job seekers & professionals but also taught teenagers do business.
[b]Words are truly powerful - - it can motivate and move people!

that is good for you, jeanniemay. good luck in all your undertakings. i can see and feel your enthusiasm in your job. lucky for avon philippines to have you within their ranks.
i don't know if there is somethng wrong with me. instead of being elated if somebody tells me that i am doing good, that they need my services, i always take it nonchalantly. it seems like it is a common thing coming my way.
always, i have been told that i am good at this and that since my high school days. this has been evident in the fact that i had always been an officer is some organizations i had participated in. also, i have participated in lots of competitions in school and mostly made it to the top ranking ones.
maybe, i should have been just like you. excited and happy to receive those words of encouragement. i never was, never remembered a moment when i acted and felt that way. maybe because, i never heard such words of appreciation coming out of any of my parents' mouth. maybe, that's what i have been waiting for during those days when i was making good at almost all of my undertakings then.

Hi Trinidadvelasco, thank you.
I used to feel uncomfortable when somebody speaks highly of what I have done but I seem to not progress with what I feel so I rather choose another way and that is to feel the excitement plus work harder and better to complete an expectation.
It is an opportunity to improve on my performances and better myself..
