i am a barefoot person. and my wife hates that so much. now that we have a toddler around my wife is trying to teach him to wear slippers or shoes inside the house and he is trying to imitate me. he loves bare foot too, har har har. it is mostly humid in our country so wearing slippers all the time is very irritating (for me) har har har.

THat is so nice. In our house we also exercise that kind of action because we don't know what our shoes from outside the house can bring inside the house. Before you can enter you will remove of course your shoes and you can wear the slippers which is intended only at inside home use.

Hi annj,
Well I'm a Florida girl and have run around barefoot all my life. My feet are far from tender. If I go somewhere the first thing I do is shed my shoes when I get inside. Unless it's a restuarant or some place like that. Even in the winter I prefer to go barefoot. I wash my feet so I don't worry about germs.

i love to go barefoot all though with it being 10 degrees here right now I have some really thick socks on. I broke my foot years ago and I have a hard time finding shoes that do not hurt my foot. So I usually go barefoot.

Well, I am supposed to wear shoes and socks at all times but I hate them!! I usually go around the house in my bare feet, but if I had to leave the house, then I would put on shoes and socks, just until I got home again to take them off :-)

I only walk bare-footed in my own house. Or at someone else's house if it's during the summer and I wore flip-flops. But otherwise I would near go bare-footed anywhere, I'm afraid of cutting myself on something or getting them extremely dirty. Once when I was little, I had an unfortunate experience where I stepped on the ear of a hard plastic Pikachu figure, and my toe smarted for days. Then last summer I spent an entire month in Europe and walked with flip-flops every single day. By the time I got back home my entire heel was black, really disgusting. So I always wear shoes and socks whenever I can.

Hi Annjilena,
We also do not wear shoes or sandals at home. We are using the same outside home and after reaching home we remove the same and walking with bare feet. In winter is difficult to walk by bare feet so we are using mats on floor. Our small kid is also running here and there we should careful on that basis too. But outside home it is a must to wear shoes or sandals for the sake of our feet.
Good luck.

Hey annjilena! I hate to wear shoes too! But, I try to be
careful when I go outside bare footed! I can only do this in
the summertime here! Right now it is freezing and we have
snow so I can't even go outside without winter boots! But,
as soon as I come inside I take off my boots and walk around
in my socks. Although, lately it is even too cold to just
walk around in sock so I have to wear slippers to keep my
feet warm! And I really hate to wear anything on my feet!
But, now it's more about keeping them from freezing!

I liked to be barefoot when I was younger, until I stepped on a small piece of wood and it got under the skin. It took me forever to get it out. After that, I wore socks or at least slippers in the house. My grandmother was freaked out when she saw me barefooted for the first time. When I lived in California most of the time I was barefoot or wore those flip flop things-they were popular back then in the 60's. "How can you do that? Land's sake!" she'd say. It was funny, like I said, until I got that chunk of wood in my foot. Oh well.

Well I myself wear shoes when I go out. I just think it's healthier that way. When I am at home though, it's a whole new situation. I almost never wear shoes or socks, I have sensitive feet and wearing anything makes me feel restricted and uncomfortable. I am always very careful with my feet and where I put them, I guess that is why I feel comfortable going around the house barefoot.
