How often do you check your bank account status??

I check often because due to my work hours I am not usually able to do my banking at the bank itself. But what you say is quite true. It is important to check. My husband's aunt has an account back home for when she goes on vacation. WHen she got her statement this month she just realized that in the last 2 or 3 months something like 5,000 euros was taken from her account without her knowing why. She is now trying to contact the bank and nobody seems to be able to give her an answer. They are checking - for the last week!!!!! She recognizes now that she should have been paying more attention to the statements instead of only looking at the total amount she has there.

I check mine every couple of days. I'm always shifting money from my main account to my special savings account and back again. bills come in at the most inconvenient of times! lol. We have actually just finished saving for a new car, which we will be picking up in the next few days, which meant lots of account watching and shuffling around.

I agree with you it's good to check often and I do. These days there is always someone trying to get their hands in your pockets. I check nothing less than once a week and sometimes more depending on what type of banking and how much banking I'm doing. I pay my bills on line because I don't get out much in the winter being handicapped. I have to say I have never had any trouble yet.
