Which kind of gift should i give to my mother on her 60th birthday party?

I will hold a party for my mother's 60th birthday this month. Could you guys provide some ideas about which kind of gift i should prepare for her?
Any kind of advice are appreciated.^_^

Hmm.. If my mom were turning 60 and I have a lot of money, I guess I'll take her to another country or shopping. I would like to take my mom to Macau or Las Vegas. Haha!

But I guess to keep things "classic", I'll get her a watch or a pair of earrings. I don't really know. Maybe a gift certificate to a nice spa/salon so that she can relax and pamper herself.

I think we both have no time to have a travel. Thanks for your advice of earing and watch. SPA...umm... not sure about which one is good in the town.

It all depends on what she likes. For a big birthday like 60; I think you should focus on her interests. Is she a book woman, a cloth horse, a jewelery maven? Does she have many varied interests? If that's the case you might consider getting her a gift card, so she can pick out whatever she wants. I love gift cards. No more stupid presents for me.
