I was wondering if anyone likes horror movies? Do you like to be scared? Is there on movie that you watched that scared you so bad that you won't watch anymore or you can't watch by yourself? What about being in a horror movie which one would you like to be in? The one that I would have love to be in was one of the saw movies I think that would have been fun. The one that scared me so bad that I won't watch every again is all the nightmare on elm streets I can't even say thats guys name with the long nails he creeps me out lol.

My wife and I love scary movies...but the ones I like the best are the old ones like Rosemary's Baby and the Exorcist, The Entity, Poltergeist. There are very few of the newer ones that are really "scary" but I did like the first NMOES but after that they killed the franchise, same with Saw.
A lot of the Hitchcock movies were great too but were more suspenseful than "scary."
If you like horror novels then there are a couple of really good books by a little known author Ruby Jean Jensen, one is Mama and the other is House of Illusions, both of those really messed with my head.

Scary movies are definitely intriguing to me, but I have difficulty watching movies that are very gory. I think we all secretly like to be scared... the thrill is comparable to a rollercoaster ride or a haunted house experience. I think the scary movies I enjoy most are the ones that don't rely on gratuitous blood and gore... but rather go by the "less is more" philosophy. For example, one of my favorite scary movies is "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark." It is a 1972 made-for-TV movie that scared the hell out of people my page when they much younger. Just the spookiness of it makes the movie very hard to stop watching. It never came out on DVD (though I have a DVD copy because I like it so much), but there is a remake coming out soon that is being directed by the same person who did Pan's Labrynth. So we will all get to enjoy a scarier version soon! :)
