Best captain in cricket

I feel Dhoni is the best captain of all times. He is a tremendous batsman and a good wicket keeper. He came into limelight with a dashing century. After he became the captain of India, he moulded himself into a experienced campaigner. He is so cool and calm on field, hold his nerves in all situations. He rotates the bowlers well and adjusts his batting style according to the situation. In my view Dhoni is the best captain

Yes, in my opinion, Imran Khan is one of the best captains. But there are a lot of successful captains in cricket. Guys like Steve Waugh, Ricky Ponting, Stephen Fleeming, Jayasuriya, Dhoni are all one of the best skippers. But, my vote is always for Stephen Fleeming for his outstanding captaincy skill and the ability to rotate the bowler very well. He is also a cool cricketer and have proved a lot in captaincy. Wasim Akram was also good in his days.

Almost every captain mentioned in this discussion are good. My personal favourite is Martin Crowe. he gave us a lot of firsts. He was the first captain to introduce slogging during the opening over. Mark Greatbatch was used for hitting. He was also the first one to experiment with spinner. deepak in the opening overs & had great success in the world cup. Martin could lead a bunch of average cricketers to perform much above their potential. which i think is should be the barometer to judge captains. let us not forget pataudi, the greatest ever captain India had. Till today he is the only indian captain to win a series in new-zeland that too with no pacers in the Team.

Kapil Dev was very good captain. In recent times I think Dhoni is very very good captain.
