Yes, its on the local news here in Ireland. You will live rent-free in a tropical paradise, go swimiming at your leisure and get paid handsomely for doing it. Tourism officials in Australia are looking for someone who can go and explore the different islands and report back to the world what they see. The successful applicant will word for 12 months.The successful candidate will receive a salary of 77,000 euro for six months and get to live rent-free in a three bedroom villa,complete with pool. They will also need to prepare a blog, a photo diary and vidro updates to attract tourist in the area. Those who want to apply for the job have until February 22 to submit an online video application. Interested?

I wouldn't want to leave my daughter for 6 months at this point, so I don't want to aply for this job.
But i also heard of it. Here in Holland it was in a newsshow aswell and they have selected a cadidate to follow her in her application for this particular job.
Let's see how things turn out :-)

Australia? Islands? Write as a tourist? Who wouldn't be?! It sounds like heaven on earth, plus a perfect job. It does sound like the absolute perfect job. Working in a lighthouse would also be a perfect job. (I've always had tendencies towards being a hermit)

I would love it if I could bring all my pets with me. Of course their plane tickets would be about $5,000. I have a lot of animals.
